The Damage You See Is Rarely All Of It.

Front and rear bumpers are the most commonly damaged parts on any car in New York City, and the most commonly repaired badly. A cover that gets clipped in traffic or backed into a pole almost always takes hardware with it: mounting tabs shear off, the energy absorber crushes, the reinforcement bar behind it bends, and the brackets that hold the whole assembly square get pushed back.

That is why a bumper that has just been popped back into place develops uneven panel gaps, rattles over potholes and sits low on one side. We disassemble the area, inspect the reinforcement bar and absorber, replace the broken hardware, and refit the cover to factory gap tolerances so it lines up with the fenders, hood and lamps the way it did new.

If your bumper carries parking sensors, a backup camera or radar, those components are handled as part of the job — transferred or replaced with OEM parts and recalibrated afterward, with a post-repair scan to prove the systems are functioning.

Bumper Work We Do.

Crack & Tear Repair

Plastic welding and reinforcement from behind, then filler-free contouring and refinish. Cost-effective when the cover's structure is otherwise sound.

Full Replacement

OEM or OEM-equivalent covers, absorbers, reinforcement bars, brackets and clips — installed with all the hardware, not just the visible cover.

Alignment & Gaps

Covers are refitted to factory gap tolerances against fenders, hood, lamps and tailgate so nothing sits proud, low or crooked.

Sensors & Cameras

Parking sensors, backup cameras and radar units are transferred or replaced with OEM components and recalibrated with a documented post-repair scan.

Color-Matched Finish

Spectrophotometer matching, downdraft booth application and blending into adjacent panels so the bumper reads as original paint.

Insurance Or Cash

We handle the claim if you file, or give you a straight cash price when the damage is close to your deductible.

Bumper Repair Process.

  1. 01

    Photo Estimate

Send photos of the bumper and we quote within 24 hours — repair versus replacement, with pricing for each.

    Disassembly & Inspection

The cover comes off so we can see the absorber, reinforcement bar, brackets and any sensor damage hidden behind it.

  3. 03

    Repair Or Replace

Plastic welding and reinforcement, or OEM replacement of the cover and all broken hardware.

  4. 04

    Prep, Paint & Blend

Primed, sealed, sprayed to your spectrophotometer color reading and blended into the adjacent panels.

  5. 05

    Refit To Factory Gaps

Reassembled and adjusted until gaps and flush lines match the rest of the vehicle.

  6. 06

    Calibrate & Deliver

Sensors recalibrated, post-repair scan run, vehicle washed and inspected with you before pickup.

Common Questions.

Can a cracked bumper be repaired or does it need replacement?
Plastic bumper covers can often be repaired by welding the crack, reinforcing it from behind and refinishing the panel. Replacement makes more sense when the crack runs through a mounting area, the cover is torn apart, or sensor housings are destroyed. We quote both when both are viable.
Why is my bumper misaligned after a small hit?
Bumper covers hang on plastic tabs, brackets and an absorber behind them. A low-speed impact commonly snaps those tabs and bends the reinforcement bar even when the cover looks fine — which is why the gaps go uneven. Fixing the alignment properly means replacing the broken hardware behind the cover, not just clipping it back on.
Do you handle bumpers with parking sensors and cameras?
Yes. Sensors, cameras and radar units are transferred or replaced with OEM components and then recalibrated so parking aids, blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise work correctly after the repair.
Will the new bumper match my paint?
Yes. We read your existing finish with a spectrophotometer, mix to that reading, spray in a downdraft booth and blend into the adjacent fenders or quarter panels where needed so the bumper does not look like a replacement.
How long does bumper repair take?
A scuff-and-refinish job is usually one to two days. A full replacement with sensor calibration typically takes two to four days depending on parts availability.
Is bumper damage worth an insurance claim?
Sometimes. If the repair cost is close to your deductible, paying out of pocket may be smarter. We give you the estimate first so you can decide, and we handle the claim if you choose to file.
