What happened
The Cruze arrived after a frontal impact that creased the hood and left it sitting out of alignment with the surrounding panels.

Does a creased hood always need to be replaced?
Not always. On this Cruze the hood was straightened and realigned rather than replaced, then refinished. Whether that is possible depends on how deep the crease runs and whether the metal has been stretched.
Why does the hood have to be realigned after a front impact?
